Conserve energy with Low Energy Standby.

Help conserve energy with Low Energy Standby.
Equipped with Brother's revolutionary Low Energy Standby technology, the Multi-Function Centre (MFC) consumes approximately only 0.04W (watts) of power when the power is switched off but the machine remains plugged in. This surpasses the current standard of conventional printers, which consume about 0.2W.

The key to this technology lies in the use of a built-in capacitor that functions similar to a rechargeable battery. Charging itself during normal operations, this capacitor in turn then powers the MFC during standby so minimal electricity is consumed.
